Millsboro armed robbery sought by police

A man who robbed a Millsboro store Tuesday night is being sought by police.

Delaware State Police are investigating the armed robbery of the Millsboro Dollar General store at 26012 John J. Williams Highway store that occurred at about 9:51 p.m. April 18, police said.

A man armed with a handgun entered the store and demanded cash from a store employee, police said. After grabbing an undisclosed amount of money, the robber fled the store in an unknown direction, said Sgt. Richard Bratz, spokesman for the Delaware State Police.

The clerk was not injured.

The robber was described as a white man about 5 feet 9 inches to 6 feet tall, about 150 to 160 pounds, wearing a dark-colored, hooded sweatshirt with his face covered, Bratz said in a press release.
