Art’s Alive is not your average art show. The 16th annual event brings out talented artists to showcase and exhibit fine art that is not found anywhere else.

Painters, sculptures and photographers will take over Northside Park on June 25 and 26 creating an outdoor event that everyone can enjoy, said Jessica Waters, communication director of the Town of Ocean City.

“Combine the beauty of the bay along with the distinguished artist and it makes for a truly unique event,” Waters said.

The artists are dynamic and their exhibits create an evolving Art’s Alive every year.

“We have over 100 vendors this year,” Waters said. “ It just seems to be getting better and better over time. We have a lot of artists who have been with us since the beginning but it’s always nice to see new artists showcase their work as well.”

Artists will also be competing for prizes such as, Best of Show and the Mayor's Choice Award along with over $5,250 in cash prizes being awarded.

Throughout the weekend demonstrations will be put on by different exhibitors  and work from artists will be available to purchase.

Art’s Alive has become an event that is for locals and tourists and an event that showcases art culture in Ocean City said Waters.

“It’s not just in event for an art enthusiast,” Waters said. “it’s an event for everyone. The Ocean City art community has continued to grow and a huge emphasis has been placed on providing art culture and this is display of that at this wonderful event.”
