Police do not know how many people were affected after a credit card skimmer operation was found in Ocean City.

Two skimmers were located Thursday at gas pumps at the Sunoco on 129th Street and at the Ocean Market at 142nd Street, according to Ocean City Police Public Information Officer Lindsay Richard.

"We are trying to determine how many people were effected," she said.

She could not comment on whether or not any suspects have been named.

People who might have been affected by a skimming operation should call their local police department, she added.

Richard said Ocean City Police, along with other organizations working on the case, do not believe there are any other skimmers in town, however, businesses should still inspect their pumps to ensure there are no other skimmers.

"If they do find something, don't touch it, close it up and call the Ocean City police to investigate immediately," she said.
