Driver pulling boat gets stuck in Ocean Pines tunnel

This driver failed to heed signs warning the driver that the boat being pulled might be too big.

Road signs are there for a reason.

A driver in Ocean Pines, though, found this out Tuesday.

The driver was towing a boat and went through a 10-foot-tall tunnel near the Ocean Pines Golf Course, when it got stuck, the Ocean Pines Police Department said.

Several photos of the incident, which showed a damaged boat, were posted on the department's Facebook page with a caption that said, "Here's a friendly reminder why you should heed traffic signs."

No one was hurt in the incident, according to the Ocean Pines police.
