The dinosaur stolen from Nick's Dino Golf on 125 Street has been recovered.

The dinosaur stolen from Nick's Dino Golf early Thursday morning has been recovered.

The dinosaur was found this morning on the beach at 126th Street, said Nick Gerasimos, owner of Nick's Golf.

"We have it back now," he said. "It was found this morning on a lifeguard stand. I guess they tossed it up there."

The dinosaur was removed from Nick's Dino Golf on 125th Street around 3:30 a.m. Thursday.

This is not the first time a dinosaur was stolen from the property.

A similar situation occurred two years ago when a dinosaur was removed from the property and found in a nearby parking lot, Gerasimos previously said.

The dinosaur is a little sandy and needs fiberglass work and some paint, Gerasimos said, but it is back in one piece.

All the attention on social media aided in the return of the missing dinosaur, Gerasimos added.

And while Gerasimos said he does not know of any leads, the dinosaur had a sign on it when it was recovered.

"They stole a sign on the beach and wrote on the back of it," he said. "It read 'Raged 2 hard. Sorry.' "
