U.S. President Donald Trump talks about a lot of things on his official Twitter feed, @RealDonaldTrump.

Recently, between endorsing Ohio congressional candidates and touting his administration's effect on America's economy, he tweeted a photo from Ocean City where several boats flew "TRUMP: Make America Great Again!" flags.

"Great photo from Ocean City, Maryland," the president tweeted on Friday, Aug. 3 at 9:06 p.m. "Thank you. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!"

The tweet has been retweeted 11,000 times and liked 44,000 times.

It wasn't the president's first direct interaction with Delmarva.

Trump held a campaign rally in Berlin at Stephen Decatur High School in April 2016. In his Election Day win, the Republican won the Lower Shore's three counties over Democrat Hillary Clinton.

In June 2017, he called Tangier Island's mayor to talk about sea-level rise after the president saw a report on the island on CNN.

In December, Trump nominated former Salisbury resident Alex Azar as secretary of Department of Health and Human Services. He was confirmed on Jan. 24, 2018
