Ocean City is making another appearance on HGTV.

The home and garden network's "Beachfront Bargain Hunt" series featured the resort town on a recent episode titled "A Place for the Family in Ocean City, MD" where a family of six from Easton go looking for their perfect waterfront vacation home.

The episode premiered on Sunday, Sept. 23 at 8 p.m. The episode is number 10 in season 20. The reality show follows home-buyers trying to find their perfect vacation home with the help of a Realtor.

Angela Jancosko said she and her husband always watch HGTV and when the network reached out to ask to film their home buying experience it seemed like an easy yes.

"We were like, why not?" she said.

Melanie Shoff, Realtor at Keller Williams Realty of Delmarva, worked with the couple and their four children to find their dream vacation home. She said the family was looking for a three bedroom, two bathroom with a beachfront view.

Jancosko said having easy access to the beach was a priority as all four of their children are under the age of 8. While they wanted a place that could be utilized year round, she said her husband also wanted the ability to rent the home out.

The family's price range was around $500,000, Shoff said.

The Realtor said the biggest challenge was finding an home with all of the family's wants while also staying under budget. Shoff said she initially thought the family would either have to compromise on the beachfront view or give up some of the interior requirements.

However, the family was able to find everything they want in their new vacation home.

The family purchased inside the Capri Condominium, located on Coastal Highway. Jancosko said they've done little upgrades to the house except for painting and decorating to match their personal style.

Jancosko said looking back on the experience they'd do it again. When filming first started it was a little different, but she said the process was fun and become more normal as they continued house hunting.

"Everybody was really, really friendly," she said.

Getting to work with HGTV was a bucket list item for Shoff who loves watching the network and always wanted to be a part of one of the shows.

"It was surreal," Shoff said of the experience.

Shoff was also happy to showcase the housing options in Ocean City. She said people don't realize how much waterfront options there are between the ocean and bay. Plus, with a large price range, everyone can find a home that fits their wish list and budget.

"There's something for everyone," she said.

"Beachfront Bargain Hunt" airs on HGTV on Sundays at 8 p.m. The "A Place for the Family in Ocean City, MD" will re-air on Sunday, Oct. 7 at 8 p.m.
