Guns, jewelry stolen in Somerset burglaries, suspects sought

Maryland State Police investigators from the Criminal Enforcement Division, Lower Shore are seeking information that could lead to the identification of suspects believed to be involved with multiple burglaries in Somerset County.

Between Oct. 12 and Dec.10, four residences in the Westover area of Somerset County were burglarized, resulting in a total of 15 firearms stolen along with various additional items, including jewelry, electronics, and personal documents. 

The burglaries occurred during daylight hours. Forced entry was apparent in all four burglaries. 

The following firearms and property were stolen:

  • .17 HMR Marlin rifle
  • 9mm Jennings pistol
  • 9mm Ruger pistol
  • .32 Iver Johnson pistol
  • SKS 7.62 by 39 rifle
  • .243 Remington rifle, brown stock, equipped with a scope
  • .270 Ruger rifle, wood stock, equipped with a scope
  • .5mm rifle, brown stock
  • .22 pistol with a pearl grip
  • .22 Remington rifle, nylon stock
  •  “Flintlock pistol”, black in color
  • .25 rifle, brown stock
  • .308 Remington 700, stainless barrel, scope rings equipped without scope
  • 12-gauge Mossberg shotgun, wood stock
  • .308 DPMS LR308 rifle, black, Nikon M308 scope equipped
