Rudolph the red-nosed reindeer gets forever stamp of approval

Rudolph Forever stamp debuts this holiday season

Now, Rudolph can be part of the cheer sent through the mail this holiday season.

The nation's longest-running Christmas television special received the stamp of approval from United States Postal Service, now featuring a set of four limited edition Forever stamps, according to USPS.

Stamps of Rudolph, Hermey, Santa and Bumble were created from still television frames from the holiday special that premiered 50 years ago.

Art director Greg Breeding designed the stamps, according to USPS.

The Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer Limited Edition Forever stamps will always be equal in value to the current First-Class Mail 1-ounce price.

Hermey Forever stamp 2014

Folks can buy the stamps at usps.com/stamps, the Postal Store, at 800-STAMP24 (800-782-6724) and at Post Offices nationwide or on ebay.com/stamps.
