Go Go Gadjet at the Bottle & Cork in Dewey Beach. The band returns to Dewey this weekend with shows at the Cork and The Rusty Rudder.

Familiar bars will host bands performing familiar songs when Memorial Day weekend unofficially kicks off the summer of 2015 at Delaware's beaches.

Cover bands will raid Dewey Beach's rock clubs starting Friday night with Go Go Gadjet holding down The Rusty Rudder deck (113 Dickinson St.) and Sunset Funset teaming up with Barely Rarely at northbeach (125 McKiney St.).

The Bottle & Cork's (1807 Del. 1) famous Jam Session – a night of rotating cover bands – will be more than just a fist-pumping party for Saturday.

The traditional weekly party will be held at 5 p.m. on Friday (Rockets, Fish Out of Water and Tricky Dick), Saturday (Go Go Gadjet, My Hero Zero, Tricky Dick and Red Hotts) and Sunday (The Rockets, My Hero Zero, POWERi and Fish Out of Water), taking full advantage of the three-day weekend.

On Saturday, things start early at The Starboard (2009 Del. 1) at 2 p.m. when former Mr. Greengenes frontman Bryen O'Boyle pumps up the crowd on the bar's deck. At night, DJ Freezie is at Ivy (136 Dagsworthy St.), DJ Ghost is at northbeach and the Jefe-led Blue Label on the Rudder deck.

And with Monday off, go ahead and treat yourself to a Suicide Sunday at The Starboard. A morning of Bloody Marys, Elvis sing-a-longs and champagne chugs await.
