Ellis, a tight end, was signed to the Saints practice squad, following a concussion suffered by starting tight end Coby Fleener in New Orleans’ regular season game against the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday.

It has yet to be determined if New Orleans plans to promote Ellis to the 53-man roster.

Josh Katzenstein of NOLA.com was the first to report the move.
