A new Bud Light truck commemorates the Eagles' Super Bowl win, and is set to deliver beer bearing the team's logo on Aug. 16 — when the Birds face the Patriots in a preseason game. Shown here is the "Philly Special" — a play that set up Nick Foles' fourth-and-goal touchdown that propelled the Eagles to victory.

It’s a trick play few football fans will soon forget. For Eagles faithfuls, it’ll forever hold a place of glory. The “Philly Special” — which set up Nick Foles’ fourth-and-goal touchdown that propelled the Birds to victory in Super Bowl LII — has been memorialized on everything from t-shirts to glasses to posters.

Now, the infamous play has shown up on a very appropriate truck:

One that delivers Bud Light to bars in Philadelphia.

Bud Light, of course, provided the city with one of its most popular Super Bowl rallying cries when it tweaked an ad slogan for the occasion, turning “Dilly, Dilly” into “Philly, Philly.” At the victory parade in February — on a date that was officially declared “Philly Philly Day” by city officials — the beer company handed out free cold ones and sent skywriting planes to decorate the space overhead with the catchphrase while hundreds of thousands of Philadelphians celebrated on the ground.

Six months later, the city is far from finished celebrating — and Anheuser-Busch appears to be well aware.

Along with the play diagram on the back, the delivery truck touts a forthcoming “Philly Philly Commemorative Pack.”

The packs will cost $30 each, and include a 25-oz. aluminum bottle bearing the date and score of the Eagles Super Bowl win, plus a pair of logo-decorated glasses that have been etched with the Philly Special play diagram.

They're slated to show up in stores on Aug. 16.

The importance of that date? It’s when the Birds face the Patriots in a preseason game at Gillette Stadium.

The special “Philly Philly” commemorative packs that hit stores will include a 25-oz. aluminum bottle bearing the date and score of the Eagles Super Bowl win, plus a pair of logo-decorated glasses that have been etched with the Philly Special play diagram.

There are only 20,418 of them to be had — a number that matches up with a certain historic date — and you know they’re gonna go fast. Even more reason for fans to snag one? Inside some of the packs is a ticket to the Eagles season opener on Sept. 6.

The Philly Special truck was commissioned jointly by Bud Light, the Eagles, the NFL and Penn Beer, Bud’s local distributor, according to the Scranton Times-Tribune.

Luzerne County’s Eclipse Fleet Service, which printed and applied the decals to the vehicle, told the Times-Tribune that the design was sent over in a PowerPoint presentation, “which we then had to reconfigure so we could produce it.”

The fenders with the wings on them were reportedly the toughest to work out. But the final result was a success, and after a special launch ceremony that landed Eclipse on the front page of its local newspaper, the truck was pressed into service.

It’s now rolling through the streets of Philadelphia and delighting Eagles fans of all kinds, whether they’re Bud Light drinkers or not.
