(Correction: An earlier version of this story misrepresented the proceeds of the three Delaware casinos. The numbers in the story have been updated.)

More than $8 million was wagered on sports at Delaware's three casinos from June 25 to July 29, according to data from the Delaware Lottery.

Of that total, more than $5.8 million was bet at Delaware Park, which continues to see the most traffic due to its proximity to out-of-state gamblers in Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Maryland.

The casinos, after money was allocated to the state and to their respective racetracks, netted more than $185,000 during the lottery's fiscal month, which ends the last Sunday of a given month.

Bettors had a higher win percentage in the second month of action in Delaware. In the first 20 days, which saw more than $875,000 in net proceeds, gamblers won almost exactly $1 million less than the total number of wagered bets ($7 million vs. $6 million).

In the 35-day period that makes up July's numbers, gamblers won almost $7.7 million.

The World Cup wrapped up in mid-July. Baseball is taking the bulk of the daily action from now until college football season kicks off at the end of the month with the NFL right behind it.

The state of Delaware took a combined share of $230,614 for the month, 50 percent of the total net proceeds from the three casinos.

Here's the breakdown for July for all three Delaware casinos. Data on the dollar amount bettors win at each casino is not available through the lottery's website.

(Note: Delaware counts dollars bet on "futures" as proceeds, even though the result of the wager – say a bet on who will win the 2019 Super Bowl – is yet to be determined.)

Delaware officials have said that a mobile or online platform is possible, but it's unclear when that product will be ready for a launch.
