OCEAN

The weather has been nasty to anglers this Winter. Anglers that are making it out have had some luck fishing for tog. Chris Huk, Joe Huk, Brent Jones, Captain Rodney Jones and Captain Dave Popovich went out on the Wreckaholic and reeled in 14 tog with the biggest weighing 11 pounds 8 ounces. Action at the Indian River Inlet has been almost nonexistent. The surf report hasn’t shown any signs of life at Delaware Beaches.

DELAWARE BAY

Action on white perch has slowed down this week with the rain. Anglers are still catching a few on bloodworms at Woodland Beach from the pier, but nothing is guaranteed.

RIVERS

The Delaware River has produced a few white perch on bloodworms at Dobbinsville. Anglers willing to be patient in the wet weather have managed a few perch, however most perch have been fairly small.

PONDS

Ed Raymond checked in at Captain Bones Bait & Tackle with a citation pickerel weighing 4 pounds 6 ounces. The fish was caught at Derby Pond on a tube jig. A reminder for all anglers to get your fishing licenses for 2017. Fishing licenses can be acquired at most bait shops, as well as online at http://www.dnrec.delaware.gov/fw/fisheries/pages/newfishinglicense.aspx.
