Of the three tournament days, anglers may fish on only two days of their choice.

The tournament is for a good cause. Of the $250-$300 registration fee ($250 if registered before Aug. 8), $50 per boat will be donated to the Beebe Tunnell Cancer Center in Rehoboth Beach.

The tournament is not limited to Delaware waters, as anglers can venture as far as Ocean City, Maryland, and Cape May, New Jersey. However, all fish must be weighed in at Paradise Marina at the Lagoon bar in Long Neck.

Rules are strict as fishing lines may not enter the water until 7 a.m. and must be out by 5 p.m. All boats must return to Paradise Marina by 6 p.m. with weigh-ins beginning at 4 p.m. The winning fish will be determined by weight, but in the event of a tie, the fish’s length will be used as the deciding factor.

For those not fishing, there is live entertainment. Friday the Amish Outlaws will perform, followed by the Garden State Radio on Saturday and Sam Grow on Sunday. All entertainment will begin at 7 p.m. and will be concluded with a fireworks show Sunday at 9 p.m.
