Wilmington seasonal snowfall: 1979-2016

The following chart shows Wilmington's seasonal snowfall from 1979 to 2016, according to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration's preliminary, unofficial data.

From 1981 to 2010, the normal seasonal snowfall was 20.2 inches. Red bars on the graphic indicate seasons that had less than that.

The 2009-2010 season had the highest snowfall total with 72.7 inches, and the 1997-98 season had the lowest amount with just a trace.
