As an adult, do you sometimes wish it was acceptable to jump around in bounce houses like a kid?

If so, you’ll get your wish this summer.

The Great Inflatable Race, a nationwide touring inflatable obstacle fun run, will land at the DE Turf Sports Complex off Del. 1 near Frederica on Aug. 3.

Between eight to 10 massive inflatables will take over the fields for the race, which has five waves of start times beginning at 9 a.m. with a new batch of fun-seekers taking off every 30 minutes.

The race, which is not timed or judged, is typically between 1.5 miles and 3.1 miles long.

If you want to bounce, it will cost $75 plus $10 per car for parking.

However, it's on sale right now at thegreatinflatablerace.com with $29.99 tickets for individuals or $24.99 each for groups of three or more.

The race also is still searching for a local charity to partner with for the event. Charities can apply online via a form on the race's website.

The Great Inflatable Race was first launched in 2012 at Utah State University and has 57 events listed across the country for 2019, including July 20 in Lancaster, Pennsylvania.
