The reigning queen of hip hop is headed to Wilmington's newest music venue.

Cardi B, fresh from last month's Grammy Award win for Best Rap Album, will appear at the 76ers Fieldhouse (401 Garasches Lane) on Friday, April 26 at 9 p.m. as part of the first-time Bydaway Bash.

The social event, timed as a spring kick-off, will be hosted by Wilmington-based public relations and brand management firm The Cream Agencyfounded by Delaware native and Cardi B publicist Patientce Foster.

"[Cardi will] be making a celebrity guest appearance -- basically it will be 'Party with Cardi,'" Foster told The News Journal Tuesday. "She's coming to party with the people of Wilmington.

"She's one of my biggest clients and the Fieldhouse is the newest place for entertainment in town, so I thought it would be a great fit for her to be the first face to pop up at the Fieldhouse."

Cardi B (right) and Offset perform at 102.7 KIIS FM's Jingle Ball at The Forum on November 30 in Inglewood, California.

Bydaway Bash will be "one of the biggest annual events that has ever come to the state of Delaware," according to the event's website, which describes Bydaway Bash as "a vibe, a celebration, a shift in the culture."

A DJ will keep the party going. And yes, expect to hear plenty of Cardi B tracks throughout the night.

"She'll get on the mic, she'll rap some lyrics from her songs, but this is not a full performance," Foster says.

Tickets, which cost $45 (general admission) and $85 (VIP), are on sale now at 76ersfieldhouse.com. Reserved tables with bottle service ($1,500-$2,500) are also available.

The $30 million 76ers Fieldhouse, home to the Philadelphia 76ers G League team Delaware Blue Coats, doubles as a 3,000-person music venue. It hosted its first concert last month, a WSTW 93.7-FM show featuring rock act O.A.R.

Field house management, BPG|SPORTS, expects to host four to six concerts a year at the arena, now the largest music venue in Wilmington.

Originally an internet celebrity, Cardi B (and her over-sized personality) burst onto the hip hop scene with her debut single "Bodak Yellow" after two seasons on VH1's "Love & Hip Hop: New York."

The song eventually reached No. 1 on the Billboard charts.

Cardi B's full-length debut, "Invasion of Privacy," was released in April and bested albums by Mac Miller, Nipsey Hussle, Pusha T and 2019 Firefly Music Festival headliner Travis Scott at the 61st annual Grammy Awards on Feb. 10.

Cardi B's latest single, "Please Me," featuring Bruno Mars, currently sits at No. 5 on Billboard's Hot 100 chart.

Bydaway Bash organizer Foster, 29, is a Concord High School graduate.

Last year she told The News Journal that her first business, Vixated Salon, which is located in the heart of downtown Wilmington, gave her the opportunity to meet Cardi B.

It was that meeting that led to her public relations work for the music superstar.
