Dover International Speedway will be buzzing this weekend as the legendary racetrack celebrates its 50th anniversary with an array of special guests and free performances.

As part of the Monster Miles’ NASCAR tripleheader weekend, country singers John Rich (of Big & Rich), Cowboy Troy and Maryland’s own Sam Grow will all perform a free show in Victory Plaza at 5:30 p.m. Saturday.

The concert will cap a day of special appearances by legendary NASCAR drivers, who will take part in Q&A’s on the Victory Plaza stage throughout the day.

William Byron starts things off at 3:30 p.m. and will be followed by Jimmie Johnson and Richard Petty (3:45 p.m.), Darrell Waltrip (4 p.m.), Bobby Allison (4:15 p.m.) and Mike Joy (4:55 p.m.).

Country performer John Rich will be joined by Cowboy Troy and Sam Grow for a free concert Saturday at Dover International Speedway for the track's 50th anniversary.

The Harlem Globetrotters also will make an appearance at 5:15 p.m.

The race weekend breaks down like this in terms of actual action on the track: “JEGS 200” NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series race on Friday; “Allied Steel Buildings 200” NASCAR Xfinity Series Dash 4 Cash race on Saturday; and the “Gander RV 400” Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series race on Sunday.

The new Jimmie Jam sandwich available at Dover International Speedway this weekend: a foot-long hot dog made with griddled scrapple topped with lobster and apple slaw.

In addition to races, live tunes and celebrity visits, race fans will have something new to munch on from concessions surrounding the Victory Plaza stage.

The track partnered with the beach-based SoDel Concepts restaurant group to create four new items with Delaware flair:

• Jimmie Jam: Fresh lobster and apple slaw atop a foot-long hot dog, which was made with griddled scrapple.

The Ricky Bobby: Shake ‘n’ Bake fried chicken with hand-blended dry seasonings, coleslaw and buttermilk aioli on a potato roll.

• Slingshot Scrapple Grilled Cheese: Scrapple and American cheese atop a fried egg on white bread.

Sticky Icky Fried Rice Bowl: Fried chicken bites, shaved vegetables, a fried egg and special sauce in a bowl.

That’s right. Fresh lobster at a NASCAR race. Now that’s celebrating the big 5-0 in style!

Splash and Go, a lager made by Dover's Fordham & Dominion Brewing Co., celebrates the 50th anniversary of Dover International Speedway.

Dover International Speedway’s 50th anniversary Splash & Go Lager brewed by Dover’s Fordham & Dominion Brewing Company will be available for purchase, along with beers by local breweries Mispillion River and Blue Earl.

Other weekend entertainment includes a free Charlie Daniels Band concert (Sunday); Micro Wrestling Federation matches (Saturday and Sunday); Del Rods Car Club car shows (Saturday and Sunday); a Winston Cup Mobile Museum display (all weekend); and on-site NASCAR and sports betting (Sunday).
