Two shot, one fatally, Wednesday night in Wilmington, police say

Two people were shot, one fatally, Wednesday in Wilmington's West Center City neighborhood, police said. 

The incident occurred shortly before 10 p.m. Wednesday in the 700 block of Tatnall Street, according to David Karas, a Wilmington Police Department spokesman. 

Arriving officers found two victims — a 29-year-old Dover man and a 29-year-old Philadelphia woman.

The man was rushed to a hospital where he died. The woman was also taken to an area hospital where she was reported to be stable.

"This is an ongoing investigation and updates will be shared when they are available," Karas said.

This was the second shooting homicide of the night. 

A 19-year-old man was killed in Bear late Wednesday. New Castle County Police answered the shooting call on Raven Turn around 11:45 p.m. and found the wounded man.
